Sustainability Director
The Sustainability Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the sustainability framework for the fund, as well as leading all activities related to sustainability in the fund management business. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term success and responsible management of the fund and will serve as the brand representative for Farosson in all areas related to sustainability. The Sustainability Director reports to the CEO.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
- Be one of the key driving forces in the development of Farosson's ESG investment framework and net zero roadmap, harmonizing with the ultimate holding company's climate roadmap and initiative which Farosson intends to follow/stand guided by.
Operational
- Lead the development of processes in measurement, tracking and reporting the division's ESG performance, including tracking of portfolio companies performance. Drive best-in-class ESG reporting standards aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and other related frameworks, by working cross-functionally, to capture and analyze macro and micro trends, global developments and risks, stakeholder expectations, current and new ESG legislation, and mandatory and voluntary disclosures.
- Proactively identifying issues, risks, opportunities, and trends that may impact the company from an ESG and corporate responsibility perspective, through a materiality assessment approach.
- Identify innovative and efficient approaches to sustainability/ESG data, story collection and reporting, including publication of metrics, proof-points, integrated reporting, and also to enhance authenticity and creativity.
- Drive the development relevant materials with communications team to demonstrate our position in sustainability, ensure reporting is aligned with brand and style guidelines, and that the narrative is consistent with the ESG performance.
- Be a thought leader in sustainability matters in the asset management space and participate in external engagements, representing Farosson in roadshows and sustainability/ESG related conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
A degree in sustainability, environmental science, finance, or related field.
Desirable
MBA/CFA or equivalent educational qualification.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Essential
10-12 years of relevant working experience.
Desirable
- Understanding and knowledge of fundamental ESG frameworks, principles, conventions, regulatory regimes, etc. as noted in "Primary Responsibilities."
- At least 3-year track record of developing and delivering qualitative and quantitative sustainability and ESG reporting.

Director of Investor Relations & Distribution
The Investor Relations Director will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective investors for Farosson’s asset management business segment, as well as communicating the fund’s financial performance and growth strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network and investor base to the role, and will play a critical role in securing new investments and maximizing returns for current investors. The Investor Relations Director reports to the CFO.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
- Be a key contributor in the origination and prospecting of new limited partner relationships, with specific target achievements in fund raising set. Develop the firm’s distribution network on a global basis, opening up new sources of capital.
- Be a key contributor in the development and execution of the company's investor relations plan.
Operational
- Key contributor of growth of the firm's assets under management through establishing and maintaining relationships with private wealth networks, family offices and institutional investors.
- Key contributor to the firm’s core leadership by assisting with investor-facing communications and the development of systems /processes that make Farosson an investment firm of choice.
- Plan and lead roadshows and publication materials (with the assistance of communications team) to share the firm’s vision, mission, strategy and investments to potential investors to develop investor confidence and belief of the Company.
- Partner with Strategy director to monitor investment trends, requirements and strategies to identify strategic investment opportunities in overseas markets, sharing insights with potential investors to create a branding and following for the company.
- In collaboration with Strategy, investment/advisory teams within the division and external service providers to:
- prepare updates to all investors & potential shareholders and communicate with investors in all mediums (written, verbal, in person).
- ensure existing limited partners have high satisfaction levels of our services (investor reporting, access to information etc), handle inbound investor enquiries and work with business unit heads when further information / due diligence is required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Financial Controller
Financial Controller within the Finance Department in Top Co will be primarily supporting the day-to-day to finance function of the Farosson Group and its subsidiaries, focused on advisory, investment and asset management businesses.
Farosson is a newly established business division of the Yinson Group and the Financial Controller will be responsible for building the finance function of this division from ground up and developing financial policies and procedures to ensure financial stability and growth. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced finance professional with a background in advisory, investment and asset management finance to make a significant impact on the company's success.
The business moves at an incredible pace so candidate will need to be a self-starter with excellent EQ, strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. We are looking for people who apply deep logic to their thinking and highly organised who are able to efficiently multi-task and see all projects from start to finish in a timely manner. The Financial Controller reports to the CFO.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
- Assisting with the constant refining of internal investment and asset management processes including ensuring accuracy of fund data and records.
- Proactively seeking to identify existing risk areas within the accounting function & propose solutions to minimise risk for the firm.
- Review and optimisation of standard operating procedures for the teams.
- Contribution to local and global projects in relation to systems, processes or other change initiatives.
- Be part of the review committee in setting up and managing new SPVs in entity structure review.
Operational
- Be part of the startup team to build up the financial function, including processes, controls and policies related to financial reporting in relation to the division. The FC will be able to leverage on group resource such as the Group’s accounting manual and processes.
- Review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and MFRS reporting requirements, including quarterly NAV computations, where necessary.
- Supervise and oversee accounting, consolidation and administration services undertaken by local team members and third-party service providers and ensure operations of the finance functions are carried out.
- Maintain oversight over interactions and outcomes with auditors and tax advisors on all transactions and technical reporting matters, including coordination of audits with external auditors
- General support of senior team members in decision-making and execution.
Support functions to realted parties :
- Oversee and manage the preparation of investors reports and coordinate response to all investor related requests.
- Support the coordination and review of the fund’s quarterly independent valuations and reconciliation of inputs.
- Coordination and participation of board activities.
- Where required, review schedules and supplementary information required by investor side letter arrangements and consultant requests to assess for accounting implications.
- Participate in planning of recovery plans and perform recovery testing for portfolio companies where required. Coordinate with key subsidiaries on capital and recovery plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting.
Desirable
An appropriate professional qualification – CPA / ACCA or equivalent preferred.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

11-14 years of relevant experience in a related field, gained either from a top-tier firm of accountants or from within a multinational group or asset management company.

Some experience in asset / fund management / private equity firms or related field is preferred.
