Our foundations
The Farosson team has a diverse background spanning across various disciplines including investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, equity research, corporate & business strategy, treasury, legal & compliance and auditing. The team's professional capabilities is honed further through an extensive track record of spearheading corporate investments & transactions for one of the world's leading energy infrastructure and technology companies - Yinson Holdings Berhad.
The Farosson team completed a wide range of corporate and infrastructure project investments and funding transactions, some of which have received global recognition for innovation and leadership in the sustainability financing space. Working hand-in-hand with respective business units allowed the team to develop unique insights into the technical and operational intricacies of capital intensive and complex infrastructure projects. The vast industry experience, coupled with a stellar track record in corporate risk management, compliance, legal and governance, positions Farosson to be a value-added partner to investors and investees alike.
Our Leadership
DANIEL BONG
Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer of Farosson, Daniel leads a passionate team of professionals to pioneer a business that provides advisory, investment and asset management services, leveraging on his extensive experience spearheading business partnerships, corporate investments and transactions, especially within the sustainability, infrastructure, real estate and technology space.
Daniel has 20 years of proven experience in corporate development and executive management, including equity and debt fund raising, investments, merger and acquisitions, business and financing partnerships, strategy development, corporate legal, governance, risk management and compliance, sustainability, corporate communications, tax, treasury and finance. He has extensive experience in originating, executing and concluding investments and fundraising transactions exceeding USD 8 billion, and has driven order book and cash flows in excess of USD 30 billion.
He started his career in international audit and advisory firms, then moved on to a real estate investment fund, managing investments. In 2011, he joined Yinson as General Manager, Corporate Finance and Strategy Development, before taking the role of Group Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Group Corporate Advisory from 2014 to 2022. Daniel played an instrumental role in Yinson’s growth, particularly in driving the transition from a logistics and trading company to the current global energy infrastructure, renewables and technology company.
Daniel is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK), gold medalist, as well as Chartered Accountant with both Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Financial Accounting with Distinction and Book Prize from Tunku Abdul Rahman University Of Management and Technology.
A strong advocate for continuous personal development, Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration from London School of Economics, NYU Stern, HEC Paris. He also holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Gloucestershire and is an alumni of the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme. In addition, he received Executive Certificates in Strategy & Innovation, Technology & Operations and Management & Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management.
QUEK RUI XIN
Chief Financial Officer
Rui Xin has 14 years of experience in financial and statutory reporting, strategy, business planning and audit. In Farosson, she is responsible for overseeing Farosson group of entities’ finance, treasury, tax, communications, investor relations and corporate secretarial functions. She also provides administrative supervision to the internal audit function.
Previously, Rui Xin held the position of Head of Strategy at Yinson Holdings Berhad. She was a driving force in charting Yinson’s growth through her work on developing the strategic roadmap, framework, and business activities in collaboration with key business leaders and stakeholders. She was instrumental in a series of strategic venture acquisitions, contributing to the strategic growth roadmap of Yinson GreenTech.
Over her career, Rui Xin also headed the finance function of a Singapore Catalist company and managed a wide range of finance activities including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, fund raising, risk and governance, statutory reporting, negotiations, as well as managing investor relations. She started her career in KPMG Singapore and last held the position of audit senior manager.
Rui Xin holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with Honours from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. She also completed a Mergers and Acquisition Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
ADELINE LEE
Head of Legal and Compliance
Adeline's role as the Head of Legal and Compliance involves ensuring the legal and compliance aspect of Farosson's operations and decisions, in line with relevant laws, rules, and regulations. She also designs and implements compliance frameworks, policies, and internal processes, and ensures effective risk management, sound internal control procedures, and robust systems are in place. She has over 12 years of experience in providing legal advice and guidance on financing, merger and acquisitions and capital market exercise.
At Yinson, she was involved in several large-scale and cross-border transactions, including the spin-off exercise of non-oil and gas business, project financing of USD 780 million for offshore energy assets, sukuk mudharabah of up to RM 1.5 billion and joint venture with various business partners. She also played a key role in establishing partnerships with Sumitomo Corporation and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd in Yinson’s first FPSO project in Brazil. Adeline’s ability in dealing with a global audience established her versatility when advising business partners from India, Brazil, Italy, Chile and Vietnam on cross-border merger and acquisitions and collaboration arrangements for various businesses within the Yinson group. Prior to Yinson, Adeline was a corporate lawyer specialising in general corporate law advice and capital market exercises in Malaysia.
Adeline obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from National University of Malaysia (UKM) and was admitted to the Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor at the High Court of Malaya in 2012. She has also completed the Mergers and Acquisition Programme at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
